An incredible journey led by renowned author, wildlife photographer, and naturalist Stan Tekiela through the jungles of Costa Rica. With 40 years of experience and many trips to Costa Rica, Stan will be leading this trip to focus on the vast variety of amazing birds. We will also be accompanied by a local driver guide, ensuring safe travels. This is a small-group expedition, visiting four different ecolodges in stunningly different parts of this beautiful and lush country. Birds such as Fiery-throated Hummingbirds, Magnificent Hummingbirds, Tucans, and Resplendent Quetzal will be our target species.  With two full days at each lodge, there will be plenty of time to capture images of dozens of bird species. If we are lucky, we may even find a few mammals such as monkeys, coati, and sloths.

Some of the trip highlighted birds will be the Resplendent Quetzal, Keel-billed Toucans, Collared Aracaris and King Vultures. At one location, we will break into smaller groups to photograph reptiles and amphibians such as Eye-lash Viper, Red-eyed Tree Frog and more. There will also be the opportunity to capture images of tropical bat species at night using high speed, multi flash systems (provided).

All the lodges are first-class, clean, and safe. The food is fresh and ample.
