A follow up note since the eColumn runs about 4-6 weeks behind, I had 45 purple martin babies fledged this summer with the last baby leaving yesterday. It has been the best year ever for my martins. The colony is happy and healthy and I hope to see them back next year. My plans are for adding even more houses for next years nesting season. Stay tuned.
